The Prince of Wales Hospice

About this Collection

After a fantastic response to our Christmas Tree Collection last year (raising over £1200 for The Prince of Wales Hospice!) we’ve opened up this year’s collection to even more postcodes!

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

This year we’re looking to raise over £2000 which will go towards helping local people suffering from a life-limiting illness in 2018. We’d welcome any size of donation for taking away your tree, but here is an overview of how your donation can help…

£15 can run one of our Incare beds for an hour!

£18 can fund a nurse for an hour, to administer pain relief to patients.

£60 can fund all the services needed to run an Incare bedroom for a whole morning!

The collection is ran entirely by volunteers and we’re pleased to announce this year we’ll be supported by volunteers from Brakes. Please ensure your tree is outside your house and accessible to our volunteers to collect on your designated collection date.

For queries or further information about the Christmas tree collection please call Rob Dannatt on 01977 781487 or  or email rdannatt@pwh.org.uk

The collection will also help raise money for Brake’s Meals and More charity initiative, which aims to tackle Child food poverty locally and throughout the UK.

About the Hospice

The Prince of Wales Hospice has been providing care to people with a life-limiting illness since 1989. Our services are available to any adult from the Five Towns area of West Yorkshire – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our care is free of charge to patients and their families, but not free to provide.

The cost of running the Hospice (including shops) was £3.7m in 2016/17. We receive a grant from the NHS each year which covers around 25% of our costs, for the remainder, we rely on donations and fundraising from people in our community – people like YOU.

Your generous donations are very much appreciated to enable the continued work of the Hospice.
