St Barnabas Hospice

About this Collection

Christmas is just around the corner and that means Christmas trees will soon be commonplace in homes across Lincolnshire. During the festive season, we would like you to think of St Barnabas Hospice and let us recycle your tree this year.

The simplest, greenest and most charitable way to get rid of your Christmas tree.

We are collecting trees on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 January 2018

Donations are crucial to the success of this event. We have to raise a total of £5.5 million each year to continue our care free of charge and we couldn’t do it without your support. Your money will go directly to helping over 9,000 people across Lincolnshire receive the specialist end of life care they deserve.

For every £1 we raise 73p goes toward delivering and improving the care and support we offer, 27p goes towards generating future income. Your donation will make a huge difference to our patients, their families and carers, and the staff and volunteers at St Barnabas.

We are grateful to our supporters, volunteers and sponsors without whom we would not be able to do this event.

About the Hospice

Making a difference

St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity, which supports more than 9,000 people across Lincolnshire each year. We deliver free, high – quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to adults with a life-limiting or terminal illness, their family and carers.

St Barnabas Hospice has two Inpatient facilities in Lincoln and Grantham, six Day Therapy Centres across the county, and community teams providing specialist care in a person’s own home. Our hospice services are available to every family in Lincolnshire, the largest county in the UK. Wherever you are, there’s a St Barnabas nursing team working in your area, supporting people in your community.

Our dedicated, professionally trained nursing staff – with the help of a large team of support staff and volunteers – offer everyone in our community the chance to receive the very best care available at what is often the most difficult time in their lives.

Our ambition, for every patient we meet, is to enable them to live life to the fullest possible extent for however many days, weeks or months they have left. We are there to provide specialist medical advice, but also emotional and practical support. We try to relieve pain, stress and worry – and allow those reaching the end of their days to spend quality time with those they love.

We try to care for everyone we meet as if they were our own loved ones. Our vision is a world where dying with dignity, compassion and having choices is a fundamental part of a life. Help make this happen by donating today.
