About this Collection
The team of staff from Hospice at Home and the volunteers collected 439 trees in early January raising £4,326.51 (including Gift Aid) for the hospice in this, their second Christmas tree collection.
With support from local business and Carlisle City Council, the collection was a tree-mendous success. The two local charities who will receive donations from the collection are the Penrith Lions and the Rotary Club of Carlisle Castle, receiving £241.69 and £241.70 respectively.

About the Hospice
Our aim has always been to provide a peaceful and dignified death for the patient, whilst also supporting relatives and carers. This ethos is at the heart of our care and will always remain so. The services we provide are: Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Complementary Therapy, Lymphoedema and Family Support. We also offer respite care and have recently established a Befriending Service. Our plan for the future is to provide ‘More Care for More People’ and your support today will greatly help us to achieve this.
2017 is a special year for Hospice at Home as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary. The Clinical Team have cared for over 6,000 patients and their families during this time and we are proud to provide this vital service in the north and east of Cumbria. This could not have been achieved without the kind support of local individuals, businesses and organisations and we thank everyone involved for helping us reach this significant milestone.
