Here at Just Helping we understand during these harder times supporting your local community through donations can be difficult. However, here are many wonderful ways you can give to your community without emptying your wallet. Here are some examples of how you can contribute:  

Gift Aid - Always gift aid any purchases which give you the option to, this tax relief scheme enables the organisation to get an extra 25p for every £1 of your donation! 

Donate old clothes, books and items to your local charity shop and let them raise money from your unwanted possessions 

Get involved & volunteer your time - this is so valuable and could be a one off, an hour a month or a day a week, whatever you can spare. Check out local Facebook community groups and charity pages for opportunities, or this government page on how to get involved Volunteer - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) 

Lend your knowledge - share your expertise or become a trustee with a local charity or organisation (info on being a trustee: Become a trustee | Reach Volunteering 

Encourage your employer to arrange corporate volunteer days

If you can afford to, make a cash donation to a cause which is close to your heart. Every penny does make a difference!
