We are delighted to announce Kier as our newest corporate supporter for this year’s Christmas tree-cycling event. As a leading advocate for sustainability, Kier is joining us on this impactful environmental project, building on their successful collaborations with EACH and Break charities in East Anglia. This year, they are expanding their support to a national scale, providing vans and volunteers to help drive the initiative's success across the UK. Their efforts will enable the recycling of thousands of Christmas trees while raising vital funds to support local communities and charities.

Kier’s commitment to communities and sustainability

Jess Dyer, Social Sustainability Advisor for Kier Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks, shared their enthusiasm:

“Kier is thrilled to extend our support to Just Helping with the national Christmas tree collection this January, building on two successful years of local efforts in East Anglia for Break and EACH charities with many of our projects offering vans and volunteers to support this year's collection.

This initiative not only aligns with our sustainability strategy – Building for a Sustainable Wolrd, it actively involves our people and our projects across the country, utilising our resources to benefit local communities and charities. At Kier, volunteering is a valued aspect of our employee benefits, with all colleagues encouraged to use the two volunteering days they receive annual to causes they are passionate about. Participating in the Christmas tree collection is a practical way for our teams to contribute to environmental sustainability through recycling, whilst generating much needed financial support for nationwide charities, hospices, community and volunteer groups.  We are excited for the January 2025 collections."

Kier’s contribution of vehicles and manpower will be instrumental in expanding the reach of our collections, helping us to recycle even more trees while supporting local charities across the UK.
