St Clare Hospice, Hastingwood

About this Collection

2019 was the first year for the St Clare Hospice Christmas tree collection. They collected over 200 Christmas trees on the weekend of the 5th and 6th January raising £2,228.81.*

The hospice were very excited to work with Crumps Farm Development (Edviron) and their team for their first event collection. They were also excited to be working with the Kicking Dickey Pub and Christmas Wrapped Up, who helped to distribute leaflets.

St Clare Hospice is a local charity and each year we care for hundreds of people across West Essex and the East Hertfordshire border. We provide free, compassionate care and support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers. It costs £4.6 million to run all our hospice services, including clinical, fundraising and support services. We receive limited NHS funding, so we need to fundraise the majority of this. We therefore rely on our local community to help us raise money each year so we can continue being there for local families facing one of the most difficult journeys in life.

£2,291.07 (90%) of the monies raised went to the hospice and 10%, £222.88 was donated to Harlow Pets Corner

For further information about the Christmas tree collection or if you would like to help, please contact Rachel Lines on telephone number 01279 773 734 or email rachel.lines@stclarehospice.org.uk
