Your support is our future

Salisbury Hospice

Salisbury Hospice exists to support patients with terminal and life limiting illnesses and cares for up to 1,000 people each year but would not be able to do so without the funds raised by Salisbury Hospice Charity; funds which enable the Hospice to offer nursing and medical care, emotional and practical support, welfare advice, occupational and physiotherapy, complementary therapies, spiritual care, creative activities and bereavement support.

The service provided is free to patients and their families across parts of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire, who may be cared for either in their own homes or through non-residential and inpatient services at the Hospice. This enables patients to have access to essential and specialised care, so that they may live well and die with dignity in a place of their choosing.

Salisbury Hospice Charity needs to raise £1.5 million each year of the £2.9 million annual running costs. This would not be possible without the generous support we receive from our local community.

Salisbury Hospice Christmas Tree Collection

Our Christmas Tree collection and recycling scheme helps to raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospice and the local community.

We welcome a donation and in exchange we will collect your Christmas tree, take it away and recycle it for you. No hassle, no waste and no needles in your car!

Our wonderful volunteers will be collecting trees between 10th - 12th January 2025 from postcodes SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP7 and SP9, and SO20 6 and SO20 8. In this environmentally friendly collection, all of the trees will be shredded and used by farmers, turned into compost, or used as alpaca food and scratching posts!

What you need to know about this year's Collection

Our team of amazing volunteers will be collecting in your area on:

Friday 10th - Sunday 12th January 2025

Registration closes on Monday 6th January

Remember to remove any decorations, take the tree out of the pot (if it has one) or remove the base. We cannot remove or recycle these.

Your tree must be ready to collect by 8am on Friday 10th January, however we cannot guarantee what time or day your tree will be collected.

Your tree must be left in a clear, unobstructed, and visible location. If possible, without causing obstruction, on the path in front of your property.

Due to Health and Safety policy our lovely volunteers are unable to, under any circumstances, enter your property (e.g. house, garden, gated driveway) or any confined or restricted space to access your tree.

If you would like to get involved with the collection, volunteer your time or help in any way to help please get in contact with us

Thank you for registering your tree and making a donation. After costs, 90% of monies raised will go to Salisbury Hospice Charity, the remaining 10% will be distributed to charities in the local community.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT RECEIVE ANY MONEY FROM THE RECYCLING OF THE TREES, WE ONLY RAISE FUNDS THROUGH YOUR KIND DONATIONS

If you are using an Apple device to register your tree, please enter your email manually rather than using the pre-filled option.
