About this Collection
This year the volunteers collected and disposed of real Christmas trees from Monday 6th - Thursday 9th January in and around the Halton area. The volunteers collected and recycled over 440 trees and this has raised £3,949.16 for the Hospice and a donation of £438.40 is going to their local charity of choice, the 8th Widnes Scout Group.
For more information about the Christmas tree collection, please do not hesitate to contact the hospice on 01928 712 728 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you once again for your kindness and support with the Christmas tree collection.
About the Hospice
Halton Haven Hospice provides specialist palliative care, completely free of charge. Set in its own grounds we operate in a peaceful and relaxed setting, away from the hustle and bustle of a hospital environment. As well as our Inpatient Unit, our Day Hospice offers complimentary therapies and our Family Support team are here for counselling and bereavement support.
All of this costs over £2.6m each year and we have to raise more than £1.3m of that ourselves. It is only thanks to the support of local people and organisations that we are able to do this and to continue offering our services to our local community. So your generous gift is very much appreciated.
